Batteries could take a leap in capacity with the results obtained from MIT Researchers.
They have found that using carbon nanotubes by one of the battery electrodes produced a significant increase (up to ten times more) in the amount of power it could give for a given amount of material, compared to a conventional lithium-i battery. These types of electrodes could be applications in small electronic equipment, however with more research it could be that you leave behind with the batteries of applications of higher power.
