Start Intersolar 2014, The World’s largest solar fair

El autoconsumo es clave para poner fin a la crisis energética, dice WWF

El Observatorio de WWF de abril 2014 destaca que la producción total de emisiones de CO2 ha aumentado considerablemente respecto a abril del año pasado, debido al incremento de la generación en térmicas de carbón y gas natural, que sitúan al carbón como la cuarta fuente de generación y a los ciclos combinados de gas en el quinto lugar del mix peninsular. WWF demanda de forma inmediata el fomento del autoconsumo para aprovechar todo el potencial fotovoltaico que existe en nuestro país. (more…)

Interface reduces emissions by 90%

The textile manufacturer Interface has just announced that it has achieved in Europe “a new milestone in sustainability, by reducing its CO2 emissions by 90% and operating in its factory located in the Netherlands with a 100% renewable energy (electricity and biogas), with uses Minimum water in their manufacturing processes and generating zero residues. ” (more…)

Industry insists that it will apply the so-called “electricity price for hours”

The Ministry of industry, Energy and Tourism has published a press release explaining that, “as stated in the draft Royal decree informed by the National Commission on Markets and competition, and pending opinion of the Council of state” , as from 1 april, a system of electricity prices shall be applied to the consumer which will consist of one of the following four Modalities.
